The path leads through Jablonovské sedlo via the yellow trail to the old Soroška (from the word "szoros" meaning narrow stone), where we can still find traces in the rocks that were once worn by carts. From the path, there is a beautiful view of the Turnianska basin. Further, we pass through vineyards and the village of Hrušov along the green hiking trail, which will take you to the crossroads of Starý les (the border with Hungary).
In Hungarian territory, you continue on the blue hiking trail, which subsequently connects to the red trail leading to Szádvár Castle.
The ruins of the castle are located near the Hungarian-Slovak border, close to the village of Hrušov (approximately 6 km away) in the territory of the Hungarian village of Szögliget. It lies on the High Castle Hill (460 meters above sea level) and above the Stád Valley. This castle is one of the oldest castles in the former Turnianska župa territory. It provides a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape, especially towards Hungary, but in favorable weather conditions, the High Tatras can also be seen from it. It was built in the 13th century as a royal stone castle. King Béla IV had it built after the Mongol raids in the 13th century. The first written mention of the castle dates back to King Stephen V's charter in 1268.

This walk offers not only a safe encounter with horses under the guidance of experienced guides, but also the opportunity to admire the magnificent view of the castle in Krásnohorské Podhradie and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. We provide an intimate atmosphere with a maximum of 3 people per walk so that everyone leaves with an unforgettable experience.
For experienced riders and galloping enthusiasts we have prepared a galloping ride that connects Lipovník with Krásnohorské Podhradie or Krásnohorská Dlhú Lúka. This approximately 4km long route passes through picturesque meadows and dirt roads, where you can enjoy the feeling of freedom and liberty in rhythmic movement with nature, as if you were dancing with it. The walk is designed for a maximum of two people, which guarantees an intense experience and a personal touch, while you will also feel the fresh wind competing in your hair.
For true adventurers, even less experienced riders, there is the possibility to diversify your hikes with a tent, which has its own charm in nature. After a busy day on horseback, relax in your tent and enjoy the quiet night and tranquility that this amazing nature provides.
